My Sober Friend was founded in 2025 by Chris Zollman and his partner Lydia, and the company is owned and operated by the two of them. We started the business because people in early recovery often need steady, practical, human support at the exact moments when they are most vulnerable, and that support is not always available through traditional programs alone. Our goal is simple: to be a reliable, respectful and non-judgmental presence for individuals and families who are working toward lasting sobriety.

Our services are designed to work on their own or together, depending on what each client needs.

Sober companions: A sober companion provides in-person support and accountability during high-risk periods such as returning home from treatment, traveling, attending events, or going back to work. Companions help clients stay on track with their recovery plan and daily routines.

Recovery coaching: Our recovery coaching offers one-on-one guidance, goal setting and encouragement. Coaching helps clients build healthy habits, rebuild relationships, prepare for life after treatment and stay engaged with their long-term recovery goals.

Recovery transport: We arrange safe, discreet and supportive transportation for clients who need to travel to treatment programs, appointments or home. Reliable transport removes a major obstacle at a critical moment and helps clients get where they need to go with someone supportive by their side.

Drug testing: We offer instant drug tests as well as chain-of-custody, lab-confirmed testing. Testing can be used by families, individuals and professionals who want clear, documented information as part of a recovery plan or accountability agreement.

While our office is based in Atlanta, Georgia, we are a service-area business and we work with clients across the United States. We do not operate a storefront, and we do not publish a street address. Instead, we meet clients where they are, whether that is at home, at a treatment facility, at work or while traveling.
