Americas Chimney Sweep

Americas Chimney Sweep is a licensed and CSIA-certified chimney service company based in Nevada City, California, serving homeowners and businesses across Nevada, Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado and Yolo counties. Founded in 2024, the company is built on a simple promise: honest work, clean job sites and chimneys that are genuinely safe to use.

Our core service is professional chimney sweeping. We remove creosote, soot and blockages from wood-burning and gas fireplaces, stoves and inserts using modern rotary and traditional brush equipment, with full dust control so your home stays clean. Every sweep includes a visual safety check of the flue, cap, crown and firebox.

We also perform Level 1 and Level 2 chimney inspections for real estate transactions, annual maintenance and post-incident assessments, including camera scans of the flue interior when needed. If we find a problem, we explain it plainly and quote the repair before any work begins. Our repair work covers chimney caps and dampers, crown and masonry repair, flashing, waterproofing and draft correction. We also clean dryer vents, a leading cause of household fires.

Americas Chimney Sweep holds California Contractors State License Board license number 1150991, and our sweep is certified by the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA). We carry liability insurance on every job.

Customers reach us seven days a week, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, at (916) 833-2959 or through our website. We offer straightforward scheduling, arrival windows we actually keep, and written estimates before work starts. Same-week appointments are available across most of our service area, including Nevada City, Grass Valley, Sacramento, Auburn, Roseville, Folsom, El Dorado Hills, Davis and surrounding communities.

Whether you need an annual sweep before the burning season, a pre-purchase inspection, a stubborn draft problem solved or a cap replaced before the rains, Americas Chimney Sweep brings certified expertise and straightforward pricing to every call. Owner Michael Shternhel oversees every job personally, so the person responsible for quality is the person who answers the phone.
