Add Your Business Listing Free in the USA

Use this free submission form to add your business to the GetListedUSA local business directory. Enter your business name, category, state, city, address, phone number and website, describe what you offer, and upload your logo and featured image. Once the listing is approved it gets its own page and appears in the matching category, city and state results, so customers searching for local services can find and contact you. Submitting a listing is free, takes a few minutes, and you can update the details later from your dashboard. Accurate, original business information is reviewed faster than copied or incomplete submissions.

What to Prepare Before You Fill In the Form

The form is quicker when the business details are in front of you. Collect these first and the listing can be finished in one sitting:

  • The business name as it appears on your signage, invoices and other profiles.
  • The main service you sell, so you can pick one matching category.
  • The full street address, with the state and city it belongs to.
  • A phone number and business email that someone answers.
  • A logo file and one featured photo of your work, team, storefront or product.
  • A description of 300 to 500 words about your services and service area.
  • A one-line tagline, and your website address if you have one.

How to Use This Business Listing Form

Work through the form from top to bottom. Every field becomes a part of your public listing page, so what you enter here is what customers read before they call you.

Business Name and Listing Description

Enter the name your business trades under, not a keyword phrase. The description needs 300 to 500 words covering the services you provide, the areas you cover, how long you have been working and what a customer can expect when they contact you.

Links you add inside the description are published with a nofollow attribute, so extra links pass no SEO value. Add your address once in the Website field instead of placing several links in the text.

Tagline

The tagline is the short line under your business name on the listing card, and it is required. Keep it to a handful of words that name the service and the place, such as emergency plumbing in Houston, so a reader scanning a results page knows what you do.

Category, State and City

Choose the one category that matches your main service, then your state and city. The map pin has to sit inside the city you picked, and only businesses located in the United States are listed. You can check how the directory is organised on the business categories, states and cities pages.

Logo and Featured Image

A logo and a featured image are both required. The featured image is the photo shown on your listing card across the directory, so use a clear picture of your storefront, team, work or product rather than a stock graphic.

Contact Details and Website

Add a phone number, business email and website address that are in use. The Website field is the one place where your link is published as a normal link, and it is also the link customers click to reach your site.

What Happens After You Submit the Form

Your listing is saved to your account and queued for review. Once it is approved it gets its own URL, joins the USA business listings and shows up on the category, city and state pages it belongs to. You can follow its status, and edit it later, from My Listings in your dashboard. If something needs correcting you can reach us through the contact page.

Where Your Business Listing Appears

One submission puts your business on several pages at once, which is why the category, city and state you choose matter more than any keyword you could add to the name:

  • Its own listing page, with your description, photos, map, phone number and website link.
  • The page for your category, next to the other businesses offering that service.
  • The page for your city and the page for your state.
  • The combined page for your category in your city, which is what local searches usually land on.
  • The directory search and the filters a visitor uses to narrow results by category, state or city.

A listing needs its featured image to appear in those result grids, so the image is worth uploading before you submit rather than after.

Common Submission Errors and How to Fix Them

Most listings that never go live fail on one of these points. Checking them before you press submit saves a second round.

The Business Name Is Already Listed

A name that already exists in the directory is treated as a duplicate and removed. If you are adding a second location, identify it in the name, for example by its branch city, and give it its own address, city and phone number.

The Address Is Outside the United States

GetListedUSA lists United States businesses only. A submission whose location is outside the country is removed automatically, even when the rest of the form is complete.

The Map Pin Does Not Match the City

The pin must sit inside the city you selected. Search your street address in the map field and let it place the pin, instead of dragging it close to the right area.

The Description Is Too Short or Copied

A thin description, or text lifted from your website or another directory, is not approved. Write 300 to 500 original words about this business, its services and the places it covers.

The Logo or Featured Image Is Missing

The form will not save without both files, and a published listing with no featured image stays out of every results page. Upload a square logo and one clear photo at a readable size.

A Required Contact Field Is Empty

Tagline, full address, phone number and business email are all required alongside the name, description and category. The form lists every missing field at the top, so read that message before filling the page in again.

Rules for Listing a Business

  • One listing per business location, with the name the business actually uses.
  • United States businesses only, and the state, city and map pin must match the real address.
  • An original description of 300 to 500 words, written for this business.
  • A logo and a featured image on every listing.
  • No affiliate, referral or unrelated links in the description; links there are nofollow.
  • Working contact details, so customers and our review team can reach the business.

The full terms for using the directory are on the terms page.

Tips That Help Customers Find Your Listing

  • Use the city and category your customers actually search for.
  • Name your main services in the first two lines of the description.
  • Keep the tagline short and specific, such as emergency plumbing in Houston.
  • Give the full street address and phone number, matching your other business profiles.
  • Answer the questions customers ask you on the phone, such as service area, hours and what a visit costs.
  • Come back and update the listing when your services, hours or phone number change.

Keeping Your Business Details Consistent

Your business name, address and phone number should read the same here as they do on your own website and on every other profile you keep. Matching details make it easier for a customer who found you here to confirm they have the right business, and a number or suite that is wrong in one place is the quickest way to lose a call.

After a move, a rebrand or a new phone line, open My Listings in your dashboard and edit the listing instead of submitting it again, so the page keeps the URL and the reviews it already has.

Business Listing Submission FAQs

Is it free to add a business listing on GetListedUSA?

Yes. Submitting a standard business listing is free. You fill in your business details, upload a logo and a featured image, and send the form for review; there is no payment step.

Do I need an account to submit a business listing?

Yes. Each listing is saved to a user account, so you log in or create a free account before the form opens. The account is also where you edit the listing, reply to reviews and track your saved listings later.

How long does it take for a new listing to go live?

Every submission is reviewed before it is published. A complete listing with a United States address, a business name that is not already in the directory and a full description is published once it passes that review.

Which fields are required on the business listing form?

Business name, tagline, description, category, state, city, full address, a map pin inside that city, phone number, business email, logo and featured image are all required. The website address is the one optional field.

Do I need a website to list my business?

No. A business without a website can still be listed, because customers reach you from the phone number, email and address on your listing page. If you do have a site, add it once in the Website field.

Are the links in my listing description followed?

No. Every link inside the listing description is published with a nofollow attribute. Only the address you enter in the Website field is published as your normal business link, so extra links in the description text add no SEO value.

How long should the listing description be?

Between 300 and 500 words, written for your own business. Descriptions that are too short, copied from another website or repeated across listings are not approved.

Do I need a logo and a featured image?

Yes, both are required. A listing without a featured image is not shown in the category, city and state results, so the submission form asks for the image before it saves.

Can I edit my business listing after it is published?

Yes. Log in, open My Listings from your dashboard and update the description, contact details, images or category. Edited listings are checked again before the change goes live.

Can I add more than one business?

Yes. Submit each business separately with its own name, address, city and category. The same business cannot be listed twice, and duplicate submissions are removed.

Why was my business listing rejected?

The usual reasons are an address outside the United States, a business name that already exists in the directory, a missing logo or featured image, and a description that is too short or copied from another site.
